We'd like to know which is the best portal for generating leads? Also, is there any variance between geographic areas and which one provides the best value for money?
Currently it's Rightmove...

Zoopla is a much better website but it seems that Rightmove does generate more leads, but is more expensive

Depends I believe on where you are located right-move works exceptionally well for properties outside of London whilst Zoopla is very good for properties in London but no so good on outside of it.
However monitoring it through Domus over the years we have found that right-move to gets us the most leads.

According to its latest figures, Rightmove gets an average of £607 per branch per month from agents while Zoopla brings home £301. How does this compare with your fees?

Fee comparison, good idea.
We are a single branch dealing with Sales and Lettings and we pay:
Rightmove £884 (inc valuation alerts)
Zoopla £167 (due to rise to £240 in 2015)
